 I just purchased VECTOR , NA-LC and GLOBAL my P3Dv4 sim is on my D: drive ,however FTX is putting all the files on my C: drive with not enough room to complete all the files. How do I re direct the download with FTX Central to my D: ?

If you click on the "Home" button on the top left corner of this page and use "How to Install FTX to Another Drive?" as search criteria using the search window, you will find tons of info.

My understanding is that there are two steps to installing FTX scenery.

 

1. Unpacking the scenery download to a temp folder on the C: drive (unless you designate differently)

 

2. Installing the scenery within the Orbx folder on your sim drive (D: in your case)

 

Re 1, you can tell FTX Central to use a different folder/drive for the temp files.  It is a feature in the latest FTX Central interface.  (Settings / Temp download location).

 

Re 2, all the FTX scenery has to be on the same drive, but you can use a hardlink to designate a different drive for the Orbx folder than the sim drive.  See the articles that Doug refers to.
