Gator Posted April 17, 2018 Share Posted April 17, 2018 My Lancair plane no longer displays the gear on screen. I can still use the G command to lower and pull it up, but its not shown on screen. (see enclosed pic) I use FSX Steam version I have been flying the plane for a few months now. Of course I tried to reinstall it in FTX, but that did not help. When reinstalling it I do however get an install error (see enclosed pic) but hitting the install retry button seems to solve that. Also the rudder position looks a bit strange, but I am not sure how that looked before. So bottom line, I can fly the Lancair, but I don't see the gear any more. Doug Sawatzky Posted April 17, 2018 Share Posted April 17, 2018 Hi I would make sure you have admin rights to your C:\Users\AppData\Local\Temp\Orbx folder, and your UAC is turned off. Gator Posted April 17, 2018 Author Share Posted April 17, 2018 Thanks for the replies. I do have administrator rights and my UAC is set on lowest, i guess thats the same as OFF. However if I try to clean unfinished downloads I receive a text message which is enclosed as a picture. i hope that will make any sense to you Doug. Gator Posted April 21, 2018 Author Share Posted April 21, 2018 Was not the anti virus. I finally found windows 10 had kicked out my administrator rights. So I had to go through the whole charade of creating an new administrator role. After that I could clean FTX download and reinstall Lancair, but my wheels unfortunately did not come back I can take off without wheels showing, but the plane lands on its belly without them...
