Dav555
Ive got installed the following ORBX products in my p3d v4.1 setup:- BASE VECTOR OPENLC EUROPE ENGLAND I took of from LEPA (Palma, Spain) today on runway 26R. This is the first time I’ve flew from here since purchasing orbx I was surprised and shocked that once I took off there was a lot of land where there should have been blue ocean. Knowing this was vastly wrong I started looking at my scenery library and narrowed it down to the following entry that causes the issue. With this setting disabled the island is back to normal:- ORBX!VECTOR_EXX Ive tried running Airport Elevation under the vector setup but nothing is resolving it. See attached screen shots Any ideas? With the problem (only showing part of the issue though) Without the problem:- Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nick Cooper
Hello, welcome to the forums. Your photographs do not really illustrate what you mean. This is a top down view of the island as correctly displayed by Vector. this is the view facing down runway 24 As you mention runway 26, do you have another developer's add on airport? Dav555
Ive highlight on your overhead photo where the land is shown in my photo but tomorrow I will try and get an overhead like you have shown. There is way way more land visible and it goes for miles. Not really sure what is going on. I only know it goes away when I disable the scenery I mentioned above. I do run Aerosoft LEPA V4. I’ve tried disabling that but it doesn’t make any difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dav555
Well it seems the problem is of quite some size. It would appear after zooming out from a top down view that I have a new land mass the size of 1/4 of Spain. See images:- Any ideas people? Nick Cooper
First try unticking all your non-FTX add on scenery and see if the anomaly remains.
Dav555
I disabled LEPA and it made no difference. All my other add on Airports are U.K. and LOWI. The one that fixes it is:-ORBX!VECTOR_EXXThis is why I’ve posted in the vector forum. What else do I need to do? Uninstall vector and reinstall etc?I’m running the latest version of everything orbx. Nick Cooper
Hello, I understand why you posted but I have shown you how it should look with all the Vector files active. As I do not see the anomaly, it would appear that it is not due to Vector but to something that you have in your installation that I do not. For this reason, I ask you again to disable all your addon scenery except that from FTX and see if the anomaly remains.
Dav555
Ok will give that a go and feed back. Thanks for your help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dav555
Ok I’ve disabled as many as I can including AERPSOFT LEPA, PAPHOS, EIRESIM EIDW, FT AMSTERDAM, FT CORFUThis didn’t fix it. I couldn’t disable my UK2000 under scenery library as they were greyed out??!Any ideas on the next step?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nick Cooper
If you have installed any airports using the P3D addon method, you can disable them in the P3D addons drop down menu. I doubt very much if the UK 2000 airports will be the cause. I must remind you that if the problem lay with FTX software, I would be seeing it also, I have every product installed but no other add ons. That does not rule out a compatibility problem but to rule that out, you will need to disable everything else until the problem goes away with Vector still active. Dav555
Could it have been a bad install of vector? Should I uninstall and reinstall? Seems a bit drastic but I’m at a loss?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nick Cooper
If you feel that might be the cause, yes. First, you must set all the control panel options to default. If you have set AEC options, you can save these in a profile but put it somewhere safe outside the Vector folder. Then uninstall and reinstall. It is indeed a drastic step and may well not solve the problem. To restore your profile, put it back into the Vector folder where you found it and apply it using the Vector control panel. Dav555
The only reason I keep thinking vector is because when I disable the forementioned section it goes away - gulp!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nick Cooper
Yes, I understand that well. If I saw the same anomaly and disabling part of Vector removed it, I would agree with you but I do not see the anomaly. I am therefore forced to the conclusion that it is not an intrinsic fault in Vector.
Nick Cooper
Also, perhaps you can attach a copy of your scenery.cfg file to your next post. C:\programdata\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\scenery.cfg Thanks

Dav555
Good luck with your topic at the Avsim forum. Why don’t u think they will be able to help? I figured if it’s not orbx related then it may be worth reaching further out? Would you not agree?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nick Cooper
We haven't finished here yet, unless you don't wish to try disabling all your other add ons and sending me your scenery.cfg file to be checked. You must do as you wish, I will continue to help you but for me to be able to do so, you need to do as I ask.
Nick Cooper
Once again, here is the area as it looks with all the FTX products correctly installed and active in the scenery library and nothing else active. You should be able to reproduce this if you temporarily disable all your other add ons. If you can, then it will remain only to isolate which one or which combination is causing the problem. If you cannot, we can investigate why not and the first thing I would like to look at is your scenery.cfg file, to check that all the entries are in the correct places and in the correct order. Dav555
I’m not finished trying things. Happy to keep at it. I’ll send my scenery file over tomorrow for you to take a look at. Shall I do it via PM?Ive already disabled all my addons and it didn’t fix it but let’s see if you discover anything in the scenery file. Dav555
Hi NickPM sent with config file. Hope this helps shed any light on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nick Cooper
Hello, your scenery library entries are not in the correct order, although I don't know if this could be the cause of your problem. Please visit the FTX Central settings page and use the Insertion Point tool to set the FTX icon just below the lowest of your other addon scenery. Set the OLC icon just below the FTX icon and click on Save. If there is no change with your anomaly, untick your non-FTX addon scenery in the scenery library. Then untick your addon scenery in the P3D addons menu, then restart P3D and see if it has gone away. Thanks.

Dav555
I assume I can’t disable the UK2000 airports as they are greyed out and it’s not giving me the option?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Nick Cooper
I assumed that you installed them using the P3D addons xml method and that you can disable them in the P3D addons menu. Is that not the case?
Dav555
I used the UK2000 installer and it did the rest. It could well have put something under addons tho. I’ll need to check. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Dav555
Ok it’s fixed. I tried the insertion fix but unfortunately that didn’t work. I then disabled my addon scenery under my scenery library but that didn’t work. I then went to the addons menu to disable uk2000 but there was no option under that only fsuipc so not too sure how to disable U.K2000. I then removed vector, redownloaded it and reinstalled and bingo. It’s fixed. I can only imagine that my previous install had gone wrong at some point. Thanks for your help nick.
