oscar1981
Hello, I have just installed FTX Open Global Base, FTX Open Vector and FTX Openlc Europe in the FSX, but when I want to see the scenary library in the fsx, I don't see any lines and any area about this new addons. Only, when I have just installed this addons and starts FSX, I could see the message "loading new scenary", but in the scenary.cfg don't see it. How I can be sure that the new scenaries are installed in the library? In the FSX folder I can see too a ORBX folder and inside these folders: FTX_AU / FTX_OLC / FTX_VECTOR / SCRIPTS / USER DOCUMENTS. Thank you very much and sorry for my horrible english. Triplane
Welcome to the forum(s). Have you also installed the Libraries? If not, you need to do that. And, I think your English is just fine..........Doug
Lawrence Hickerson
I will guess you have installed these via FTX Central 3. Do they show up there and have you ran Vector Configure (which is located in your Settings option in FTX Central at the bottom of the left menu options? Have you opened FSX and selected the Scenery Library option?
oscar1981
Dear friends,Finally I was able to install FTX GLOBAL BASE, VECTOR, OPENLC EUROPE and the libraries.I attached my new file scenary, but I have a question:The order is correct? There is an area that is installed at the beginning of the library. It is the only one that is not grouped with the other orbx vector areas.[Area.003]Title = ORBX! VECTOR_AECLocal = ORBX \ FTX_VECTOR \ FTX_VECTOR_AECActive = TRUERequired = FALSELayer = 3Thank you very much for everything Link to file https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzvZOjG0L2-aa1VMZjFtb3N5N3Y3Z05rV0VrZjJfaUw4RjFn/view?usp=sharing
Smudger
Hello oscar, Welcome to the forums, the Orbx Vector AEC is in the correct place, think to yourself as you read down the scenery.cfg, that is the order FSX loads in game. You scenery.cfg needs adjusting via FSX - Settings - Scenery Library using the Up and Down buttons, please adjust following the order below 3rd Party Scenery ( Any Scenery you wish to display above Orbx FTX Scenery ) FTX Full Regional Scenery and Airports FTX OpenLC Scenery Named Default Scenery Entries Mesh Product ( FSGlobal 2010, Free Mesh etc ) FTX Global Vector Entries ( OBJ, APT, CVX, EXX ) Numbered Default Entries FTX Global Vector Entry ( AEC ) Default Scenery Default Terrain Smudger. Sheldo
Hi Smudger, I am trying to put all of my ORBX scenery into the correct layered order, and have it as you have stated here but you don't seem to mention FTX Global Base pack. At the moment I have it set below the lowest Vector (AEC) as to my simple mind it is the base mesh. I really would appreciate your views here please Best regards Keith
Smudger
Hello Keith, You need to move it up from below Vector AEC to the bottom of the Orbx Open LC entries and at the top of your Default Named entries.
