brettsan 671
Let me start by saying I have read the other posts and have cleared the temp, rebooted the PC, tried to manually download from my gaming rig, the rig in the bedroom, my iMAC and my work computer. Each of these fail. FTX throws errors with the first attachment. When I try to unzip with 7zip (yes I know this is not how to manually install the download file) I am still getting CRC errors within the zip. Appreciate any help you can offer. Doug Sawatzky
Hi Brett, welcome to the forums, Please use a download manager, here is a free offering that many others report as works well. https://www.freedownloadmanager.org/ Alternatively, you can also use a download manager (to help avoid corrupt downloads) such as IDM and do a manual download from your Orbx Direct account web page (this is where a download manager works great) and click on the account button top of page, then find and click on the product info, and in the bottom line small print there is a manual download option, down load it and save it in a named folder, then open FTXC3 and select it, and click on the orange "installation options" and select "Install from my manually downloaded .zip". as per the below links. http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/127395-manual-download-of-products/ http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/125435-how-to-install-from-an-orbx-direct-downloaded-zip-file/ Cheers Doug

Still doesn't make a difference. From what I see from the log, I have CRC errors which a download manager usually won't do anything about as the source is what can potentially be corrupt. I have also tried MS Edge, IE and Firefox all with no luck. Any thoughts? As a long shot, I think I may still have version 1.30 floating around somewhere, suppose I could install that and then let FTX do the upgrade? Doug Sawatzky
Hi Brett The source is not corrupt, I would highly recommend using a proper download manager, not a browser extension. Cheers Doug
brettsan 671
Thanks Doug, I will try your suggestion; shame to hear DownthemAll isn't a proper DL manager. It's worked for me for I don't know how many years. Brett
