marfis
Hello folks, I've started having troubles after installing OpenLC North America. My Prepar3d 3.4 crashes after approx. 40 minutes of flying /Washington to New York/ and I'm getting an error message - Your computer has run out of available memory.... After I have uninstalled OpenLC, I am back to normal. I dare to say, I have a strong PC / i7 6700k, GTX 970, 32 Gb RAM, M.2 disc, Win10/ and FTX Global, Vector, HD Trees, OpenLC Europe, REX Textures Direct + Soft Clouds, REX Airports HD. Have you experienced anything like that ? The queston is - is my PC not strong enough for this OpenLC North America or there's something wrong with the OpenLC North America application. Otherwise, the FTX products are great...:) Thanks and Regards, Daniel
Nick Cooper
Hello Daniel, This case of running out of available memory has nothing to do with the power of a computer. P3D v3 is a 32 bit application and can only access 4 gb of Virtual Address Space. The more you ask it to do, the sooner it will have used all of the available VAS and stop. The answer is to load only the scenery you need for the flight, reduce settings and if using a complex addon aircraft, reduce settings even further to compensate. marfis
Thank you very much for the reply Nick. I guess, I should definitely switch to prepar3d v4...:) That could solve the issue. all the best Daniel
