Cannot complete download FTX Global

Hi Andy

Please try the below suggestions.

Your simulator and all other programs need to be closed first, make sure your antivirus is not blocking it and your UAC is turned off, then try the below procedure.  Also be sure to have HD free space (temp folder) on C:\ that is at least two times the .zip file size so the product can download and extract itself.

Go to FTX Central 3 Settings.

Uncheck the “Use multiple threads for downloads”.

Click on the “Clear Temp” Button.

Click on “Save”.

Restart FTXC3, and try again.

Alternatively, you can also use a download manager (to help avoid corrupt downloads) such as IDM and do a manual download from your Orbx Direct account web page (this is where a download manager works great) and click on the account button top of page, then find and click on the product info, and in the bottom line small print there is a manual download option, down load it and save it in a named folder, then open FTXC3 and select it, and click on the orange "installation options" and select "Install from my manually downloaded .zip". as per the below links. :)

My receipt is 5989ddd17f361

After several hours of downloading 3.2 Gb the installation stops and the attached screen comes up.

Please note I am running the FTX Central as an adminIMG_2998.JPGistrator.

Need help what to do next please !

I tried the suggested actions, (turn off UAC, re-download etc) and restarted download but it stopped again at 3.92 Gb with the very same message. What is the best way to disable UAC for Windows 10? I am suspicious this may still be active although I moved the security slider down to zero.

Ya, 26GB is not enough space for Global base to do all three, download, extract, and install functions, you will want to maybe move the temp folder to another drive as per the below link.

I saw from other Forums that you said it would need about 9 Gb? I am willing to set the Temp to my empty drive as you say, but will FTX be able to run on my SSD?How much freespace does FTX Global need? I also intended to get Vectors? Is my C drive too small?

Global installed size is 10gb, but it needs up to three times that amount of space to download, unzip into the temp folder, and install, and after the install is complete it will clean up the temp folder to regain back some space..and yes, your C:\ drive is way too small to properly run your sim.
