aero-3fsx
As per JV suggestion I put in a new high capacity SSD for P3D It appears I didn't deinstall something of OrbX properly as my fresh install of P3D v3 has a corrupt scenery.cfg file There were messages about OrbX scenery not being available when I first started P3D after first new install I have already installed P3D for the second time on this new drive but cannot start P3D Its activated but now gives an error message that P3D cannot run without a valid scenery.cfg file - please uninstall & reinstall This I have done but I still have the problem Anyone have any suggestions? Nick Cooper
Hello, The scenery.cfg file is created when the simulator is installed. I would expect it to be found in C:\Programdata\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 or similar (I don't have P3D myself). The messages about OrbX scenery not being available that you mention would have been the result of you still having your original scenery.cfg file after you had re-installed P3D without the FTX software in it. The new message makes no sense unless you have since deleted the scenery.cfg file. I do have a copy of a default P3D scenery.cfg file which you can put into C:\Programdata\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 if there isn't one there already. scenery.cfg
aero-3fsx
Just realised every entry in the scenery.cfg file is related to OrbX I had deleted it during the deinstall on the small SSD Will try the sample file Nick included in his message -------------------- Success, it works now so on with OrbX software install Thanks very much Nick, I wish you a good day
