John York
I didn't really know where to post this but here goes. I'm a little concerned. I've had a very few personal messages since joining the forum and of course have replied to them. Some of them contain personal information concerning the senders in my inbox and also me in my outbox. Information that's not really intended for the public domain. Well, that's why they're PM's isn't it?! However, when I click on any message either in my inbox or outbox, up comes all the messages I've received or sent. Does that mean that anyone who sends me a message or receives a message from me can see all the messages too like I can? Sorry if I haven't explained this very well but I think you will get the drift John
Iain Emms
No john i would not think so, they are there only for you to see and no one else can view them at all and dont forget you can delete any messages at any time cheers Iain
Ryan Mason
Iain is correct John, its just for your reference, no one else sees what you see but you.
John Venema
Not even Jay or I can see anyone's PM's - they are private and will remain so. We respect your privacy and take it seriously.
Jay Kae
That's right, the only way for me to see your messages is for you to actually grant me access to your account, the pm's are encrypted into the database so even if I would pull the database it would be useless
John York
Thanks fellers. That's reassuring. There's nothing embarrassing in them, simply a couple of personal telephone numbers and email addresses that I, and presumably my correspondents, wouldn't want in the public domain. Thanks again John
