triflyman
Just installing my Orbx Global Vector, Global Trees HD, and Global Base Pack in my new Computer Build per Nick's Post of Nov. 10, 2016 (a great help). However, I noticed a major difference in the order the different libraries were placed in FSX's Scenery Library from the old computer (where the original downloaded purchased files were placed) and this new build, after installing per Nick. In the old computer all nine files were placed at the very top in the Scenery Library but in the new build they are split...see attached screen shot PDF's of the list. I know the manuals make a point of not moving them so I did not...but which is correct...or do I just not worry about it and leave them as placed. Doug Sawatzky
Hi Garry, Welcome to the forums, You can use the below as a guide to the scenery library order and move them, Ensure all of your 3rd party addons are at the top of your scenery library and above your FTX entries. Then in FTX Central 3 Insertion points, move "FTX entries should be inserted below" just below your last 3rd party addon. Then move the "openLC entries should be inserted below" just below your FTX entries. and click "Save". Then run the "Force Migration" option. Finally Click on the "Clear Temp" button. http://c-aviation.net/fsx-scenery-library-order-orbx-global/ scenery libraries (e.g. FlyTampa, 29Palms / other than ORBX) airport sceneries city and POI sceneries (e.g. landmarks) area sceneries (e.g. Aerosoft’s Night Environment) fotosceneries FTXAA_ORBXLIBS FTXAA_YSCH FTX_AA_xxx (ORBX Airports – several entries) FTX_EU_xxx (scenerie europejskie – several entries) … (FTX NA, FTX AU) ORBX!OPENLC_EUROPEx (openLC Europe – several entries) ORBX!OPENLC_NAMERICAx (openLC for Northern America – several entries) ORBX!OPENLC_BASE (openLC base) other landclass add-ons (e.g. Scenery Tech – Africa) Addon Scenery FreeMeshX-xxx (FreeMeshX folders or any other mesh you use – several entries) Edwards_AFB Berlin … (all named FSX sceneries) Asia Africa ORBX!VECTOR_OBJ ORBX!VECTOR_APT ORBX!VECTOR_CVX ORBX!VECTOR_EXX 1107 Base … (all numbered FSX sceneries) 0000 Base ORBX!VECTOR_AEC Default Scenery Default Terrain (optional / deselected!) triflyman
Doug, Did as directed and everything seems to be fine. I do have one file that was not on your list and wonder where it should go..."ORBXIVECTOR_FixedAPT". Thanks.

LH_bus
Hi Doug, I arranged all the files in my FSX as stated above. All was ok. Then the scenery library was rebuild. A few days later I flew into the ORBX area (Norway) again. When I closed the FSX at the end the scenery library was again saved by the system. When I looked up the scenery library again all the FTX files were on top again. Where is my problem?
Doug Sawatzky
Hi I think you just need to set the insertion points correctly in FTX Central settings, I have also described how to do that in my #2 post. Cheers
LH_bus
Thanks a lot, I found that point. I never knew what is was before. Claus
