I am seeing one issue: Any airplane I load shows sunk several inches on the ground during Dawn, dusk and night, but jumps up on the pavement as soon as daytime starts. See my screenshots. Jarrad Marshall Posted April 4, 2017 Share Posted April 4, 2017 G'day there, You have indeed found a limitation of the FSX ground poly at LOWI. Essentially, the light splash layer for a variety of reasons needs to be seperate from the primary GP, and for z-bias reasons needs to sit a little higher above the ground, in exactly the same way that some vehicle or aircraft soft shadows do too. This was the lowest that it could be placed without causing serious flickering issues. Note that this issue is for FSX only - the GP in P3D was able to utilize some new techniques exclusive to that sim. Cheers, Jarrad Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
manfredc2 Posted April 4, 2017 Author Share Posted April 4, 2017 Thanks for the response Jarred, I get the picture of the issue, but the fact that the issue is resolved in P3D is not really helpful to me, as I can not afford P3D. Other than this issue, I compliment you on delivering an amazing rendition of this airport to the community. And even the frame rate is better than I expected.
