paulrunge
I have a pretty full Orbx library in FSX. I would like to stry out FSXSE on another PC. Do I have to buy the whole set again in FSXSE version or will my FSX installaltion files work in FSXSE also. I hope so as it would be really expensive if I have to purchase a whole new set!!?? Thanks.
Alex Goff
Hi Paul, FSX, FSX:SE, and all current versions of Prepar3D are covered by a single purchase.
paulrunge
Thanks Alex. Do I need to download the whole lot again in the FSXSE version? I noticed that the installer only offers "FSX" when trying to install a few minutes ago. Paul
Alex Goff
It depends on your setup and which version of installers you have downloaded. If you only have FSX:SE and have never installed FSX on the computer, or thoroughly removed FSX, then installers will find it as "FSX". Our newer installers can detect if both simulators are installed.
MGC
This may save you some headaches - make sure that your users\microsoft directory reads only "FSX" not "FSX_SE" under all users (C:\Users\All Users\Microsoft\FSX).
