hi, same you can see in the sky when look at clouds by night time, don't you? only two causes afaik, first is wrong gamma correction in driver/monitor, here must be driver, and second not good enough filtering, trilinear or 2x af, try 4x af and play with gamma correction settings in driver

in driver settings can try trilinear optimisation off or use texture filtering quality - high quality(is auto disable trilinear optimisation), but this can drop performance

Hi Mike,

your screenshots show the tidal flats and mudflats area as they have been implemented in the UK Regions as well as Germany North (not "worldwide"). They are photoreal (=real-world data) but, due to their large coverage area and the satellite source, fairly low resolution. With GEN you have the option in the control panel to deactivate those files via the coastal mudflats checkbox. Try that to determine whether you prefer the "generic" waterclass coverage.

Hi Mike,

I don't think those Regions have the control panel option so you'd need to manually deactivate them. They are the "_TidalAreas_Satellite_" .bgl files in the respective {...}_08_CUSTOM\scenery folders, for example \ORBX\FTX_EU\FTX_EU_ENG_08_CUSTOM\scenery (the folder name codes for the four UK regions plus Ireland are ENG, NIR, SCO, and WLS, and IRL). You can either rename the file extensions from .bgl to .off or similar, or simply move the files into their parent folder, e.g., from \FTX_EU_ENG_08_CUSTOM\scenery into \FTX_EU_ENG_08_CUSTOM\; either method will deactivate them.

Cheers, Holger

Which settings in the driver would you suggest?

Mike

Thank you so much,daladna!

I did, what you had suggested---had it understood correctly with my poor english.

Copied all "_TidalAreas_Satellite_" .bgl files " back to where they belong and everything is fine now.

Thanks for your help.

Mike
