My lights look wrong

I have not kept up with the nuances of Orbx lighting, so there may be some user error here. Hopefully someone will advise. I was flying the ILS into Manchester 05L (Orbx EU England) and suddenly my airport lights went like this, which doesn't look right:

Here's how they look at ground level:

As well as EU England I also have Global and Vector installed.

AH ! Now we are getting somewhere :ph34r:

Gold is = to fsX SP2 + Acceleration, which is good, same I have here B)

No other addons like DX10 and that sort of enhancement proggies ?

if not then open the lights control panel via FTX Central and set the lights to your liking and see if that brings a change, if not other option is adding to the fsX.cfg file:

under the section [Display] the following lines:

RUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR=0.6
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR=0.4
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR=0.5
RUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR=0.7

that should keep the lights look a wee bit less overwhelming

I can't find a lights control panel. I do see options to turn 'legacy lights' on or off - is that what you mean? I will try this on and off to see what difference there may be.

Thanks Wolter, that made a difference. I think it still needs a bit of tweaking but now I know what to tweak!
