birdguy
This afternoon I flew from Centennial Airport in Denver to Eagle County Airport. Nice flight. But it reminded me of another airport that used be located a short distance east of KEGE. It apparently doesn't exist anymore; Avon STOLport (WHR). I remember the incident at the bottom of the attached article very well for I was living and flying in Denver at the time. I had always wanted to fly a round trip into Avon in RMA's Dash-7, but never got around to it. http://www.airfields-freeman.com/CO/Airfields_CO_NW.htm BTW, Orbx has included the Avon STOLport as part of it's KEGE scenery. Nice Easter egg. It has terminal shack and a Rocky Mountain Airways Twin Otter parked there. I doubt if your aircraft will be impounded if you land there. FlexFlier
Noel, thanks for the tip. I just installed KEGE today and haven't yet flown there but I'll take my trusty helicopter to Avon tomorrow.
