MAAJR57 Posted May 16, 2016 Share Posted May 16, 2016 I need some clarification about the FTX Orbx Base, Vector and OpenLC and the various Regions. I purchased the Southern California Region. My question: Is the Region that I purchased complete or are the products designed to be layered, requiring the purchase of all three. What would Base, Vector and OpenLC add to the Regions? Matt McGee Posted May 16, 2016 Share Posted May 16, 2016 MAAJR57 Definitely look through the Definitive Guide, but Terrain Regions (like SOCAL) are complete packages that contain textures, vector data, and land class data, as well as mesh, custom landmarks, and photo-real areas of interest. (See page 25 of the Definitive Guide.) So, FTX Global Base (textures), Global Vector (vector data), and OpenLC areas (land class) don't add anything to the terrain regions.
