Viking01
Hi all, every once in a while I encountered the situation, that the sim stopped working for a couple of minutes with the headline "FSX is not responding". This happenes now quite often, so I'm looking for a cause (and a cure, hopefully). It is not an OOM, since the PC runs normally, other programms work and the FSUIPC Monitors shows 1,6 GB remaining. It just slightly grays out the frozen FSX screen once you click with the mouse anywhere within the window. It happens anywhere in the world and with very different aircaft. After a couple of minutes the FSX is back and functions normally. It disconnects itself from ASN and reconnects again once FSX is back. I checked the Windows Log Files, but for that Date/Time there is nothing recorded (or I'm looking at the wrong place). I'm not running anything else on that PC and the FSX, ASN and the Aivla Flight Bag are excluded from the Anti-Virus and from the Firewall, so I'm out of ideas. Any help is greatly appreciated. Adam Banks
Have you tried it with ASN (and maybe Aivla) disabled? Maybe there's a network/connection problem somewhere. What happens if you just sit there on the tarmac (ie. no new textures to load)? Adam.
Viking01
Thanks Adam, I'll try both options. It's a bit complicated since the problem does not appear on every flight. For example, the last trip lasted about two hours and everything went fine.
