canefrog
Setup: WIndows 10 Home, FSX SE installed clean no other version of FSX, no other add-ons for FSX Downloaded and installed Orbx England scenery, ran install, ran the Libraries update from FTX Central, selected Apply Group in the Europe settings. Nothing much seems to happen here. Run FSX but I do not see any new scenery. Deleted ORBX folder and tried re-install again but get same result - no new scenery in FSX. I see lots of advice about changing registry settings or renaming folders - but is this necessary? Shouldn't it just install and work? Please help get this working. Nick Cooper
Hello and welcome to the forums. Yes, it should just work, however when it doesn't we are here to help. Can you make a diagnostic report and post the access code here please?
canefrog
Hi Nick that was a quick response! Have run the diagnostic reporter, code is: ot4f9e3776b5e7c6c472090419fb93413b Thanks Geraint
Nick Cooper
Hello Geraint, The diagnostic report is telling me it can't find the scenery.cfg file. Can you check C:\ProgramData\Microsoft and C:\Users\Your name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft for FSX and/or FSX-SE folders and tell me which one(s) you find there please. Both are hidden by default, you may need to check "Show hidden files, folders and drives" in your Windows File Explorer view options to see them. Thanks. Nick Cooper
You need to have only FSX folders. Did you install to FSX or FSX Steam Edition?
canefrog
It was an install through Steam. Am I best just deleting everything and then re-installing?
Nick Cooper
No, it would probably do the same again. Have a read of this topic and this one, they will solve the problem and once sorted, you can continue as if it was FSX (Disk).

canefrog
Hello Nick Checked the 2 articles but was still having issues so did a complete uninstall of FSX (clearing registry of any entries) and then re-installed everything (this time there were no FSX-SE folders present) and now all is good and I see the scenery pack for England. Thanks for your help. Geraint
