GabethePilot
Very interested in this - obviously UTX does not cover Ausieland ! But I see you are intent on developing for Europe and the US, which UT already does - or is doing. From what I can gather FTX includes elements of UTX and Ground Environment, together with custom autogen and a number of photoscenery airports. So is this effectively 3 products in one ? Holger Sandmann
Hello Gabe, you're correct in noticing that FTX Australia BLUE is a combination of many different landscape elements: ground textures, autogen, seasons file, land and water class, road system and traffic, railroads, shorelines, 3D objects, etc. The idea is to provide a complete and visually consistent landscape "package" for each region. The specific content of each FTX region will vary depending on what makes sense for that area. If a specific element, say the road system, would simply be a duplicate of what is already available with Ultimate Terrain then it wouldn't make sense to include that with FTX as well; time and effort will be better spent adding or enhancing elements that other add-ons don't provide and to ensure compatibility with those add-ons. Hope that's a useful answer. Thanks for your interest. Cheers, Holger
