Jbaran Posted November 5, 2015 Share Posted November 5, 2015 Hi all, last evening I was very proud to have configured and set up my fsx se, dx10 and NVidia inspector so it was all running and looking amazing today I thought I would add two freeware downloads - the na airport pacs and the ai traffic 100,110, 120 loaded it all up and went to fly out of my ftx squamish airport ... and aaaaagghhh textures flickering, planes popping in and out .. a mess is it an easy process to uninstall these pacs to try and get back to last night's success?? it appears I could do a 'remove' progam from control panel for the ai freeware but I am having trouble removing the airports freeware what do I do - do I have to re-install from beginning all of my ftx products?? I don't even know how to do that please help so I can get back to peaceful pretty flying thanks in advance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Nick Cooper Posted November 5, 2015 Share Posted November 5, 2015 First start FSX and open the scenery library. Find the entry for FTX_AA_GLOBAL_AIRPORTS and delete it. Click on OK and FSX will rebuild its database. Open Windows File Explorer. The freeware airports files are to be found in your Steam folder\steamapps\common\FSX\ ORBX\FTX_GLOBAL\FTX_FTXG_AIRPORTS. Delete the FTX_FTXG_AIRPORTS folder. Then go to ORBX\User Documents\Versions and delete FTX_GLOBAL_FREEWARE_EU.txt and FTX_GLOBAL_FREEWARE_NA.txt. The airports are now removed from your PC. Got it Now - questions I should have asked before trying to install the free ware Any known issues with the freeware ai traffic and pnw and Squamish airport? And could it have been the freeware global airports acting up visually on my FTX Squamish airstrip ... Since I don't have FTX global pack??
