anfield ace
Hi Guys, When the FSS eventually lets you download the new version of Global Base ver 1.40 from your account, can this just be installed over previous version as normal with a new update? (into FSX SE!) Cheers,
Museumkeeper
Hi Mal Is it worth the effort when the only changes are a new user guide and installer behaviour. Kind regards Ian
Nick Cooper
Yes. However, you don't need this update or the Open LC Europe one if you don't have P3D v3. The only changes to Global are a new user guide and installer behaviour There is a much smaller OpenLC update on the Support page This includes all the changes. anfield ace
Hi Chaps, Yes I realise that, I'll just re download the new ver' eventually, for future reference! Cheers,
Penz
I already have 1.3 installed in FSX-MS and P3D v2.5. I would be quite interested to know if it is recommended that I uninstall 1.3 before installing 1.4 in the abovementioned two sims plus P3D v3? - JP
spud
JP, if you installed Global v1.4 without using the new installer ORBX will not support any problems you may encounter.
Penz
Thanks Spud, I haven't installed 1.4 yet (but my download is finished, unzipped and ready!), I'm awaiting confirmation on whether I should uninstall 1.3 first. Wouldn't even know how to install without the installer. - JP
Nick Cooper
As you will be installing to a different location to your other two, there won't be any conflict. You need not uninstall.
Penz
Thank you for the swift answer Nick, much appreciated, I'll just go ahead then. - JP
