flying_fish
On updating KJAC in FSX yesterday I got the message: 'Your DLL.xml file appears to be corrupted. ModuleInstaller cannot add the module to a corrupt XML file. Replace DLL.XML with a new file? Click YES to replace the DLL.xml with an empty file and continue. Note that any other modules you may have installed will stop working'. No problem installing KEGE the previous day, or updating IWA6 since. FSX runs fine, and I've checked the object flows with the tool in the forum - no problems. I have the latest libraries installed. I've run FSXML.exe and the file seems fine, no missing line ends of CRs. the file looks like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="Windows-1252"?> <SimBase.Document Type="Launch" version="1,0"> <Descr>Launch</Descr> <Filename>dll.xml</Filename> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Launch.ManualLoad>False</Launch.ManualLoad> <Launch.Addon> <Name>Addon Manager</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>bglmanx.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>Flight Recorder</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad> <Path>Aerosoft\Flight Recorder\AS-FlightRecorder.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>CMeteoXml</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>.\CMeteoXml.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>Carenavigraph</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>.\Carenavigraph.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>FSUIPC 4</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>Modules\FSUIPC4.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> <Launch.Addon> <Name>as_connect</Name> <Disabled>False</Disabled> <Path>as_srv\as_btstrp.dll</Path> </Launch.Addon> </SimBase.Document> Be grateful for any ideas - its a bit beyond me! flying_fish
Nick, Thanks for your help, KJAC 1.10 has installed with no error message now. I had seen this solution in the FSXML.exe notes and had checked out the 'carriage return', and added it to the dll file. What made the difference is changing the moduleinstaller.exe from FTX AU into the KJAC scenery folder. KJAC has installed correctly. Sure is a challenge for those like me who are not so confident with these tweaks! Regards
