birdguy
I cannot run the automatic configurator anymore. I keep getting the 'Unhandled exception has occurred in your application error message.' Pressing continue doesn't work. The message goes away but the configurator doesn't start. When I trying to start it again the error message returns. I have rebooted the computer and re-installed Vector 120 and Library 150815. I don;t know what to try next. Nick Cooper
Hello Noel, What is the rest of the message? Is it something like "cannot create a file that already exists"?
birdguy
Yes, Nick, that's it. I should have included it with the original message, Noel
Nick Cooper
No problem. It happens when there are many instances of two files with the same name but a different extension. There is only one certain cure. I assume you have the latest installer, version 1.20, downloaded from your FSS account. Delete the entire ORBX/FTX_VECTOR folder and only then re-install. If you don't delete the folder first, you will probably make the problem worse by adding more duplicates.
birdguy
Thanks Nick, that fixed it. It must have happened yesterday when I took off from Santa Barbara and found the Pacific Ocean looking like a landfill. I searched for fix here and someone mentioned reinstalling Vector. That's what I did without uninstalling it first. I'll know better next time. Noel
