Major Orbx issue - All airports broken outside of FTX area.

As the title suggests I have a major issue with Orbx scenery. Basically it has completely stuffed up all airports outside of the package I have. I own FTX Scotland and its working fine. However every single airport outside scotland is broken.


 


In simple terms OrbX is making scenery ground textures appear in place of airport ground textures. So I have no grassland at the airports, making it bloody hard to judge the landing particularly at night. On top of this some areas now have completely wonky textures with rivers appearing as one foot long with bridges over them.


 


 


It is only an issue with Orbx Scotland active. Disabled everything is fine. And I have just done a full clean instalation of FSX SE to ensure its no issue with the base game data.


 


Without OrbX Scotland installed;

Frankly this is entirely unacceptable. I have never seen an addon area that has such a drastic direct knock on effect on everywhere not covered by the extra data. This seems like a bit of a shadey tactic to force me buy the global package.


 


I would like this resolved as soon as possible, as I am not a happy bunny to have spent what is a rather high price for Scotland data and have it ruin everywhere else.

Further information; many searches of the forum finally produced a result in helping me resolve this. Apparently your FTX Central software is bugged and not adding the neccesary data to enable grass textures. I have manually added the data and sofar it appears to have resolved the problem.

 

Fix for those that may have similar problems;

 

Navigate to your "terrain.cfg" file in your FSX folder

Edit with notedpad and find this section;

 

// Airport Backgrounds (FSX) - Flatten + MaskClassMap + ExcludeAutoGen
[Texture.164]
Name=Airport_Backgrounds_Flatten_MaskClassMap_ExcludeAutoGen
Color=FFFFFF00
guid={46BFB3BD-CE68-418E-8112-FEBA17428ACE}
FlattenMode=flat
FlattenPriority=51000
LandClassRemapType=none
ExcludeAutogen=Yes
RenderToTexture=No
RenderPriority=20000
Water=No

 

 

Add this line to the bottom of this block;

 

Textures=GRASS_SKIRTING_1.

 

 

It should now look like this;

Still having landclass issues outside of airports. No doubt another entry is missing its tag but I am not sure which one.


 


I am pretty sure England is not made up of square cities, considering Ive been there many times.
