Bassman
Whenever I pushback i.e. Shift+P, the aircraft will not steer. Any solutions please? VH-DAN
virginpilot1
Your meant to be able to do Shift P +1 / 2 apparently. Its never worked for me and im only able to do a proper pushback in the LVD 767 with a built in pushback system. Would also love to no how its done in every other a/c. Dukester
iirc you have to push 1 or 2 just as the aircraft starts to move back, so within a few seconds of hitting shift+p, can't be to close together or left to late.
orbxignite
It only works for me if I push 1 or 2 less than a second after I hit Shift + P.
GuywithaBeer
And even then it has a habit of pushing back into the aircraft at the gate next to you or behind you or out on the the grass......
Greg Rottinger
Go to an outside view before pushing back to see how much room you have. Then push back and press Shift P to stop before hitting anything or ending up on the grass.
Maurice_King
Oh make SURE you don't have either brake or Park Brake set either.
captzoo
Project Open Sky (POSKY) had created a pushback system for their aircraft. I'm not sure whether it works for other a/c or whether it works in FSX. I'm sure if you paid their forum a visit you find some posts on the subject. Dukester
I just remembered that it won't perform the rollback turn if you swap views in between hitting shift+p and the 1 or 2 keys.
Jones
im able to use the toe brakes on my saitek rudder pedals to steer, works fine but it only works with seperate brakes if u use a twist stick rudder it doesnt seem to work.
Graham Eccleston
There is a little Pushback addon that will allow you to select the distance of your pushback and at what point and direction your tail is turned. Great for doing 'L' shaped pushbacks. The added advantage with this little gem is it will allow you to select a taxi speed so you don't have to fiddle with the throttle on the way to and from the runway. You can download it at FlightSim.com under the file name rcbgh-50.zip. There is an update to place an icon on your panel and the file name for that one is rcbgh50a.zip. I use it and it really is great.
Bassman
Thanks everybody. Seems not such stoopid question afterall. Who would think that after ~6 years of FS9 and FSX, Microsoft still had'nt been able to reproduce a workable pushback : I wonder what the 10's of thousands of commercial airline sim pilots have been doing around the world
