  1. Interesting........ My GPU is below the minimum requirements.... Perhaps if it was above the minimum I would be able to get past the splash screen and maybe perform better than p3d.... Another thing I noticed was during the installation, the background picture on the installer was GPU rendered, as I was seeing high GPU usage simply during installation. And some internet research showed I was not the only one. That makes me think perhaps the startup UI utilizes the GPU in some way also. But I'm not really sure. I'm really not too worried about getting it to work, as I am very happy with how P3D runs and I know it well, rather not need to relearn something new, especially with the thousands of dollars I have invested in P3D addons. I do belive I may slightly upgrade my pc in the near future, thinking of a laptop with a GTX 1650, which according to userbenchmark.com is 300% faster than my existing GPU....
  2. I run P3D v4 with Orbx scenery, rex skyforce, and complex addon planes (such as A2A, Carenado) on a ~$750 PC. It gets 27 to 35 FPS in most areas, maybe dropping to low 20s when in both large cities and bad weather. That said on the same PC I couldn't get past the splash screen in MSFS, let alone start a flight. MSFS seems to be much more performance demanding, understandably so with the complex graphics it has from default. IMHO flight simming does not really require a $3000 computer if you settle with slightly older (but still not too old) software and tune the settings properly. I remeber when P3D v4 was cutting edge technology. But good call on doing the real world flying lessons, that makes more financial sense than simming in alot of ways. Those graphics will be better than MSFS, and its compatible with your integrated graphics processor.
  3. In other words, the government makes things complicated.
  4. That was my thought too, this was their way of correcting that issue. Also their sales aren't usally the same every year, so its really unpredictable when they will have one. The fact they had may sales in past years does not neccicarally mean they will have one this year.... but they usally have another one at some point in the year.
  5. I'm sure we all would. I like that idea. What confused me is im not sure if it works that way, where you "suggest" for companies to make partnerships....
  6. May I make another request for KSPG Albert Whitted airport in St. Petersburg, Florida, United States? I fly in there in RL often.
  7. That is incredible news about the possibility of another Alaska region. I will be buying that one day one when it comes out!
  8. Some small Alaskan strips near PATK: Bald Mountain (2AK7) Secluded Lake (49AK) Montana Creek (21AK) Songlo Vista (3AK3) Rustic Wilderness (02AK) Many thanks for any consideration! Caleb
  9. North Carolina is a nice place. There should be an Orbx regeon there. But I would like to put in a request. KCLT Charrolate-douglass International Airport for a Global Freeware. It would also be nice to have 14A Lake Norman airpark. As well as 3A4 Southeast Greensburo airport. Thatnks for doing Piedmont Triad! I was going to request it but I went to check and it was already there! Thanks very much.
  10. Thanks for the clarification. I own SAK so I will be sure to check out Hains, Skagway etc. Thanks.
  11. Barrow is on the Orbx 2018 roadmap for a payware airport. It will be great to have it. A few more AK airport suggestions: PAKW Klawock PAWG Wrangell PAPG Petersburg PAFE Kake PASI Sitka PAOH Hoonah PAEL Elfin Cove PAHN Haines PAGY Skagway Thanks
  12. CYCW Chilliwack airport would be nice if it does not already exist. Thanks
