I run P3D v4 with Orbx scenery, rex skyforce, and complex addon planes (such as A2A, Carenado) on a ~$750 PC.
It gets 27 to 35 FPS in most areas, maybe dropping to low 20s when in both large cities and bad weather.
That said on the same PC I couldn't get past the splash screen in MSFS, let alone start a flight.
MSFS seems to be much more performance demanding, understandably so with the complex graphics it has from default. IMHO flight simming does not really require a $3000 computer if you settle with slightly older (but still not too old) software and tune the settings properly.
I remeber when P3D v4 was cutting edge technology.
But good call on doing the real world flying lessons, that makes more financial sense than simming in alot of ways. Those graphics will be better than MSFS, and its compatible with your integrated graphics processor.
