Please note that Orbx does not provide technical support for any FSX:Steam Edition DLC addons published by Dovetail Games. To gain support, please visit their Kayako support site here:
http://dovetailgames.kayako.com/
Orbx provides support only to Dovetail Games staff if they cannot answer your queries using their official channel.
Any Steam customer who purchased the DLC versions of Orbx products requesting support on our forums will be directed to this topic.
Thanks! -
Hello all,
Dovetail Games have posted a handy guide on how to install and use the Airport Configuration Tool once you have installed an Orbx DLC airport:

Are object flow and people flow the same? I have people flow in FSX-SE
No they are not. PeopleFlow is animated human characters. They can be placed in the scenery without using Objectflow.dll, in which case you will see them in FSX:SE. However in many cases developers control the sort of clothing the animated people wear, such as summer clothing in summer and heavier clothing in winter etc. Also they may not have people waiting to board aircraft in the middle of the night for example.
So in instances where developers use the objectflow.dll to control PeopleFlow animated characters, they won't be seen in FSX:SE until our DLL is working correctly.

This pinned topic will be updated regularly to provide important information on how to install and use Orbx products with FSX:SE which was released on Steam on December 18th 2014.First off, our products are 100% compatible with FSX:SE.Our Orbx installers will find the FSX:SE folders correctly as long as it is the only version of FSX installed. Only the version of FSX that uses the legacy Microsoft Windows Registry entries for the FSX work folders will be found by our installers.Co-existence mode (explained below) will come into play if FSX:SE detects any previous install of the boxed FSX version. If unistalling the boxed version prior to installing FSX:SE, make sure you use the uninstall function from your Add/Remove programs and use a registry cleaner (such as CCleaner) to remove any registry information that may remain of the boxed FSX version. If co-extistance mode exists and you are only running FSX:SE, have a read here before installing any Orbx products http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/100665-ftx-central-cannot-locate-scenerycfg-file/
Our installers will NOT work if you have BOTH FSX:MS and FSX:SE installed. We do NOT intend to recompile over 100 installers to cater for a dual FSX installation so you have to decide which of the FSX versions you want to use. We suggest however that there is little point is having both versions of FSX installed on a single PC.Quoting Tim Gatland, CEO of Dovetail Games: "One particular challenge is co-existence. As part of the FSX: Steam Edition installation, we did not want to overwrite any existing FSX boxed installation already present on a machine, so we created a co-existence mode where both versions of FSX can reside on the same machine. This can, not surprisingly, confuse installers and so where possible we encourage people to use separate machines for each version."If you want to use DX Preview mode and avoid our FTX Global lights being displayed as black squares, you must purchase and install Steve's DX10 fixer tool and run FSX:SE in DX10 Preview Mode. You can get a copy of the tool here: http://www.flightsimstore.com/product_info.php?products_id=2630(Alternatively there is a free shader fix for the lights (not yet tested by us) over at AVSIM) - http://library.avsim.net/login.php?Location=%2Fdownload.php%3FDLID%3D185080ObjectFlow is compatible with FSX:SE, but when Dovetail update FSX:SE, we need to check that our DLL is compatible with the newer version. Once our DLL has been verified as being compatible, you will see a message either via FTX Central or when starting FSX:SE to update the DLL. Once updated you may need to "trust" this DLL again.Check back to this pinned FAQ for more developments as they happen.

Here is a definitive guide on all Orbx products and how they work together. It is well worth downloading this PDF and reviewing it if you have questions about our products before purchasing.

Hello all,
Here's a low-resolution copy of the FTX Global User Guide (all images are low res to save on PDF filesize). This will give any prospective buyer some insight into FTXG and the new FTX Central operations.
There is a full resolution (42MB) version of the User Guide included in the full product download.

Any idea how big the download size is? I just went through the website and couldn't find that information.
The P3D installer download is about ~ 5 GB and extracts to 10.1 GB on your hard drive before running the installer. Basically you're downloading an installer DVD.

Please add one order number to your forum signature before requesting support
To allow Orbx to better serve its customers who have paid for a legal copy of FTX products, we require that you add an order number for the products purchased from our resellers to your forum profile signature section (see diagram below).
Procedure for logging support questions on this forum
We will keep it really, really simple. Just include the Orbx product code and order number in your forum signature (instructions attached). These are the order numbers you received in your purchase confirmation email from Flightsimstore.com, PC Aviator, FSPilotshop, SimWare or mailSoft. If you purchased an Orbx DVD at a store, please use the invoice or receipt number.
Please indicate at the front of each order/receipt number, which reseller online store you purchased your Orbx product from. Also please do NOT list your serial numbers, date of purchase or other private information.
Example texts:
Flightsimstore.com example - AU BLUE FSS3756
Other DVD resellers examples - FTXAUSP3DVD Simware5847 - YCNK DVD Mailsoft40363 - PNW DVD FSPilotshop129224 - 1S2 DVD PCAviator147123
1. It validates you as a legitimate customer
2. There is no confidential information passed to us or in the public eye
3. It makes it easy for Orbx staff to help you knowing you have a legal copy
Please, if you log a issue and forget to include your order number in your signature, please bear with us when we ask you to post it before we help you with an answer.
Orbx apologises for any inconvenience this may cause our valued, legitimate customers. I am sure there are a number of sites we can point to you to take out your anger on.

Freeware airport requests
in Orbx Freeware Support Forum
Posted
Yes they will, we'll likely bundle the existing packs into new installers that cater for V3. The priority of course is to do the core products (Global, Vector, OLC, Regions) first, then the airports, then freeware.
