A big mystery @zkdos considering you appear to have done al the known "cures" processes.

Do you have Backup option enabled in Orbx Central/settings/downloader>

If so check if you have a Juneau Backup copy and delete it.

You may have a corrupted download copy which Orbx Central will read when you run the Verify Files or do an uninstall/reinstall.

We need to make sure you have a clean fresh copy of the download.

So uninstall, reboot, reinstall fresh copy into a new copy of Community folder having renamed as before your original Community folder to Community.x.

Thanks again Jon- didn't even know Orbx Central was keeping a backup of all the install files locally. Cleared those out, uninstalled and reinstalled, but would you believe- still no luck. Sounds like it is only me with this issue, and after all the trouble shooting here, I still have no idea why it could possibly be.

Well, much more than 3, we have a number lined up in development.

Would love to see your NZWR or NZGS from Prepar3D make their way to MSFS to compliment your NZ Mesh. Just throwing it out there! :P

  3. Even after the 1.1 update to the Orbx NZ Mesh that specifically D'Urville Island still glitches significantly for me.

From far away the island outline appears as a flat 2D outline on the water, then as approached by air, the tree covering pops into place over where the terrain should be, although the terrain remains see through creating an unusual effect. As you fly over the island, the terrain pops into place momentarily in a square by square loading style, but disappears again as the area gets overflown.

I also note that D'Urville Island does not register as a land mass on the GPS moving map (GTN750 in this example). It does however show up on the in game moving map- never seen that sort of discrepancy before.

It's all very bizarre- I have no other NZ DEM addons in my community folder and the product works flawlessly for the rest of New Zealand. Any ideas guys?

  4. First impressions running the new Orbx NZ mesh.

Looks pretty similar to default (wonder what the MSFS mesh res is for the region- 20m maybe?), but no water climbing around coastlines or any sign of rounded off mountains popping in and out of view makes for a much more immersive experience that default!

I note that the Orbx NZNI/NZSI addons from FSX and P3D contained the same res 10m Holgermesh, so it is as at least as good as previous NZ virtual addons for the sim. Looking forward to the 1m res updates!
