You kind of identified it yourself, piston engines are internal combustion engines (often now called ICE), some of which have turbo charging, ie just a method of increasing power inside the ICE. Turbine engines are essentially jet engines (albeit with a propeller attached in some cases as against a pure jet), ie a turbine not a piston as its basis of operation. Jet engines operate differently from ICE in terms of controls and offer better power but generally are slower to respond to power changes compared to ICE.
The simplist explanation I've ever heard. Makes sense now. Thanks mate!

You could print that and put it on your wall. Superb Emmsie!

Well done mate!

From what I've seen on YouTube, particularly Easyjet simpilot, it looks like you can vary your own experience in the settings. You can automate some responses etc. By the looks of it you don't need to be an ATC expert to use it. I'm seriously considering it

Quite outdated terminal building. The southern end was expanded a couple of years ago. It has jetways and several storeys.

An enjoyable set to peruse Johnny. You've certainly captured all aspects of the airfield and surrounds.

A bit twichy at times and even downright unresponsive other times.

Thanks for comment gents. The high rollers in their executive jets weren’t impressed

Thank you for this Rodger. A few years ago I discovered this site and downloaded their aircraft and some sceneries - Then had a software catastrophe and had to reinstall everything. I could not remember where I sourced my STOL aircraft from and completely forgot about them until you provided the site. THANK YOU!!! My hanger is full of my fave planes again. Posted one rusty one on the screenshot section today

Don't remember the year, I was a wee chap but know it was in the early 70's, pretty sure 1972. It was a B727 Salisbury to Johannesburg South African Airways followed by a B747 Jo'burg to London Heathrow. The one thing that sticks in my mind is entering the 727 via the rear steps

I think the bloated Community folder is the culprit, I have the same experience. Like Wayne I’ll brew a cuppa or organise my beers for the anticipated flight/s while the sim organises itself.

So good Johnny, us locals would argue that Casino in far north NSW is the beef capital of Oz. That's another story, however your captures of Rockie are great mate!

Tongas Fiords area?

Thanks for the P3D clue. There's a seaplane base next to Juneau. Are you lucky enough to have visited that Larry?
