On my recent stay at Milford Sound I was constantly looking skywards at the traffic patterns. There are some interesting approaches and departures. I have been recreating on them ALOT on the sim lately. Found this video which I thought explained it all nicely.

Also maybe try going into Device Manager and right clicking all the Hubs. Go to properties/Power Management. Make sure "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power " is unchecked.

Since MSFS2020 my hanger is predominantly freeware as I am not at all proficient or time rich to operate payware/study level planes. It was a celebration when I started the FBW A320 engines without crlt e! !!
Looking at my sceneries that is a different story, many many freebies from flightsim.to but the majority are payware. I think the fact that the scenery developers I support are individuals like Ken, Marcus and Co make it more appealing - I'm hoping they get a good financial reward. Mr Marshall are you reading this?? Come back mate!

Thank you Rodger. I used to enjoy that region in the old FTX days. It is a beautiful region. My flightsim.to downloads are getting a bit out of hand! I'll have to get more organized, just had a quick look, there's bountiful uploads! Should keep me entertained for a while.

4 hours ago, Rodger Pettichord said:Graeme, another great place for bush flights is in the USA Pacific Northwest. Washington, Idaho, and Oregon all have really interesting farm strips tucked away here and there, and the state and federal Forestry Services maintain strips way out there in the wilderness. You can Google lists of these strips (I have a whole folder full). Some of them will ask every skill you learned in PNG and NZ. Also, the FlightSim freeware site has a large library of bush strips from all over the world. It's a great source for making your own global bush bunch. Many of those free downloads are as good as any professional commercial product.
Happy flying, my friend!

I'm seeking suggestions for areas that have stunning montainous bush/GA flying. My go to is always PNG or NZ. Hoping someone knows of any other regions in the world I could explore?

Glad you came out of it with no major damage Don. It was literally an hour ago my wife had the same experience. We have just got back from walking Zimbee on the beach where my wife was face planted in the wet sand due to a stray ball passing by. There're strong theses four legged friends!

I watched this same video this morning John and was also agreeable with his opinion. Yet to get on the sim and try it but it makes sense to me. I'm typing this in rainbow font, do you see it?
Happy Easter mate.

With deference to Rodger's preliminary statement - after I do my usual mis-controlled crash landing -
I usually console myself with --- TGIOS----
When I flew all those years ago - in real life - landing was always my dreaded moment - until I cleared the
dotted report line - that's when my Sphincter Muscles returned to normal.🤞
For the sake of your passengers I hope your sphincter muscles and your facial muscles were not in sinc. Hopefully an air of calm on your face

This Week's Meaningless Topic (#188)(April 10)

I buy a carton of Coopers Sparkling Ale every fortnight. One of Australia's last Australian owned big breweries. Other than beer, my wife and I enjoy a few bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon a week. We own our own business and it gets quite stressful, red wine is our evening chill. I actually had some good luck a few weeks ago, every carton of Coopers purchased at the local bottle/liquor/off license shop gained an entry to win a BBQ. Guess who won?
They sent me a photo, I'll post it when on the PC, I was stoked!
Cheers
