FYI - Just did the new Win 10 update and the new NVidea driver and MSFS had no issues with either . Sim is running very well !! .

I have a new pc coming late September, so I will venture into MSFS then. Hopefully just after SU6 is released :)

FSX is where I stopped - great to see these excellent shots.  With the further development of PCs and Graphics Cards over the years my FSX on my modest system runs at 60FPS like greased lightning except in Orbx cityscapes with lots of local addons where it can get down to 15FPS but still smooth and flyable - and of course the huge range of FSX aircraft, free and payware scenery (except for Asia OLC haha) and SIM features that didn't make it through to, or don't work properly in, constant fiddle P3D.

I have mates that still use FS9 because of the features that didn't make it to, or work properly in, FSX!  Not to mention their love and admiration for VOZ.

So it is possible to have a great SIM experience in the older sims without being at the sharp and expensive edge of technology or keeping up with the Jones's

Thanks. I agree with you. I always like to revisit FSX just to fly something different.

great shots, amazed to see FSX still used after all these years.....

Thanks Wayne. I have been away from simming for a while. I have FSX, XP11 and P3Dv4 on my current pc. I just fancied flying some older aircraft - hence FSX today.

    Excellent shots Paul. :)

FSX is were so many of us really got started both with flightsims and with Orbx. It certainly is where I first marveled at

how the PNW series just transformed my world.

It really strikes me how much we forgot how we have evolved in our hobby and your rendition shows both FSX as a  fine

example of where we were then and the foundation for what we are experiencing today.

And the best part is that the "Orbx thread" is still alive and well in 2021 and bringing us enjoyment in MS2020:)

    Well done Sir!

    All the best

    Pete

Thank you Pete. Going back to FSX I was happily surprised at the wide choice of aircraft available.

    Hello,

The AF Corsair works in P3D v4.

    Regards

    Hans

    Hi Hans,

Where aircraft have not actually been released for v4, I would find it useful if you said what 'works' actually means.

For example do all of the animations, sounds, effects and gauges work?

    Thanks

    Paul
