ACTIVE FTX Region Issues HELP

Hi Team,

 

I had to do an FSX "repair" install (I have FSX Acceleration) and I believe its over written some of the BGL files or doubled them up for Sydney, LA etc because when I fly over these cities they now show default even after I switch to the regions i.e. AU & Global. Aside from Global I have Vector and LC Europe installed.

 

I don't want to make matter worse first without asking Orbx what's my best next step?

 

1. Should I uninstall FTX Global and reinstall? If so do I need to uninstall Vector and LC Europe first?

 

2. In regards to Sydney. Is there a BGL file that I should look for?

 

I think that the repair may have doubled on a BGL/Texture files but I don't know which ones ORBX changes for Sydney, LA etc?

 

I need your help!

Don't you see the default textures everywhere now, not only in LA and Sidney ? I suppose that the repair wrote over the Global textures withh the default set.

Yeah it appears I do you're right... Global is affected. My Regions in the US i.e. Northwest, etc look ok though. Aussie and NZ look ok too its just Sydney city looks default...

 

Unfortunately all cities look default I can tell because there is no 3D lighting and the colour.

FTX Global simply replaces the default texture files, so running a repair of FSX will "restore" those default textures.

Install FTX Global again, and you should be fine.
