ftxlights_p3d_day.exe - Trojan Gen SMH

When doing a reinstall in April the  "ftxlights_p3d_day.exe - Trojan Gen SMH" message came up and Norton kindly removed that part of the install.

Am I right in saying that this is why I have no approach or PAPI lights.

Is there an easy fix for this or do I have to reinstall all the regions to get my lights back?

On doing some reading I have now entered ORBX  for scan exclusions.

I also realise that ORBX products are checked regularly and are virus free.

That light switch does not control approach or PAPI lights, just our autogen streetlights.

If you're missing runway and approach lighting it's probably the nVidia driver version you're running. A couple recent ones have not played nice with nVidia. You can get the lights executable back by installing the libraries.

Cheers,

Alex

You need to configure Norton to exclude not only your Flight Sim, but also try a folder of your creation where you can put installable files to run without worry that they'll be poached during the install.

Thanks Dave, after reading several posts yesterday I have now done that.

I have had to do several reinstalls over the last year but this is the first time that Norton has interfered in this way.
