pilottj Posted February 9, 2015 Share Posted February 9, 2015 Hey guys, I spent an FS night going from Paramaribo, Suriname SMJP to Fortaleza, Brazil SBFZ then across the Atlantic to Sal Intl, Cape Verde GVAC Here is the leg to Fortaleza Then onward to Cape Verde. About 150nm out, I removed the flight plan from the GTN, guestimated a VNAV profile without the GTN and flew in to GVAC the old fashioned way for the fun of it. I have to say tho I really do enjoy the flexibility of the GTN, I can make the flight as modern and automated or as old fashioned as I choose. About 24hrs on the meters so far since leaving Felts Field. Next Stop is Casablanca....Here's looking at you kid.
