divad_strebor Posted April 13, 2009 Share Posted April 13, 2009 This set takes us from Minlaton on the Yorke Peninsula, across the Spencer Gulf to Port Lincoln, via Thistle Island. Climbing away from Minlaton.. Leaving the Yorke Peninsula behind.. .. as Thistle Island comes into view.. I decided the view here was a little bit too nice to just "land and leave" so I went for a lap of the island to check out the scenery. Downwind.. Finals.. And on the ground.. Departing Thistle Island for YPLC. This runway seems a bit longer than necessary.. Port Lincoln in sight! Turning finals from a right hand circuit to avoid high terrain.. .. turns out thats exactly what I was meant to do! Fantastic little FTX freeware field this one! If this is freeware, I can't wait to see payware! I'll have bought Jandakot by the time I get there, if all goes well.. I decided to top up the tip tanks before setting off across the Nullarbor.. Just in case fuel prices went up as I went further away from major cities.. I actually continued this flight for quite a while, but when I looked at how many screenshots I took, I decided to break it into two legs. So... Leg 10 will be up shortly..
