ACTIVE ORBX Norway--scenery library and/or elevation issues? Grass overlaps on runway

Hi there,

 

I have FTX Global, Europe LC, Vector, and Orbx Norway (all latest versions, including ORBX Libs 141228) installed. I am seeing overlap of grass onto runways and also strange elevation issues at many Norway airports. I have run the vector configurator on auto. I have also read through the guide and followed the instructions for the scenery insertion points. I also tried reinstalling NOR, but I am always having the same issues. I have attached an example picture here for your reference along with a couple of pics of my scenery library. I seems that something is wrong here...can you please help? (It was working well before but I'm not sure what changed).

Hi Alex,

 

that looks as if the airport grass skirtings and associated flatten either are excluded by another add-on at higher display priority or not properly located in the first place. It's hard to tell though from that single low-level screenshot.

 

What are the entries at positions 15 and up, anything that might include landscape or airport files for Norway? If not then perhaps post a couple more screenshots from higher up and zoomed out so we can see more of the surrounding landscape.

Thanks for your response. I uninstalled other sceneries I had, including aerosoft Torp, just to try to clean up the scenery library and maybe rule out conflicts. I have included a series of shots from ENTA and ENHK and another airport. I also checked and it seems like worldwide there are elevation issues...just checking at random airports. 

 

Do I need to reinstall all orbx products and start over or is there another option you can see?

 

What was really weird is in some of the shots you can see me making an approach to ENHK and as I get closer in, the runway goes from clear to having more and more of it obscured by grass until only the first 1/3 is still runway by the time I arrive at the threshold!

 

I welcome any ideas!

 

I also attached two updated shots of my scenery library. I did run AEC again, no difference.

Hi Alex,

 

that's pretty mysterious because there are quite a few NOR components missing in your screenshots, not just the airport flattens and skirtings. If you look at my screenshots of ENHK you'll see that the landclass/landuse textures are very different. Only the vector components (roads, shorelines, bridges) and 3D models seem to display correctly for you even though I don't see any obvious issues with your scenery library menu.

 

You may want to try deactivating the "Scenery" entry at the top of your menu as AI traffic airport files can interfere with our airport files. However, I doubt they would have anything to do with the missing polygons and incorrect textures. If deactivating that entry makes no difference then you probably want to uninstall and then re-install Norway. An uninstallation guide is available here http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/55811-uninstalling-eu-regions-a-quick-guide/except look for NOR instead of WLS.
