Mac_Maddog88
Most other major cities are fine for me in FSX. Then, I load up KSFO and my FPS tanks. I don't know what the cause could be. I remember somebody mentioned something that has to do with the cranes in the bay area in an older topic. Is there a way I can delete these? Is there anything I can do to raise FPS here? Thanks, -Mac
Alex Goff
Here's a thread discussing some of the files that can be turned off: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/83868-still-struggling-with-performance-in-sfbayarea/
Mac_Maddog88
Thanks a ton Alex. Went ahead and followed the instructions and can now use Flightbeam KSFO with over 30 FPS. Do tell Mr. Venema that I think your guy's support is excellent and always there when you need it. Truly world class!
Stewart Hobson
I took out the cranes, but only noticed a 2-3 increase in fps, so I put 'em back in. Disappointed, btw, that the UC Berkeley campus didn't seem to be over in the East Bay where it should have been, especially the Campanile. Oh, well...
