BBQSteve
Can anyone verify that this airport in FSX Vector places the airport in the middle of the water as opposed to on land and there are two runways there? I think vector places it wrong.
DonB312
I checked on my system (running Prepar3D v2) and AK5 is, indeed, located in the water. However, the layout and location of the airport look the same whether I have FTX Vector enabled or not. Vector appears to draw a much more accurate coastline. This makes me think the airport may be located incorrectly in the default FSX/Prepar3D scenery rather than in vector. Also, AirNav.com lists this airport as a seaplane base and shows no runways. So perhaps the runway is correctly located but the default scenery incorrectly has it as a hard runway instead of a water runway? PAPE looked the same with or without Vector being activated. BBQSteve
Thanks for the info. Perhaps two runways water and land, but it sure was a surprise without floats!!!!
