lawrence aldrich Posted October 26, 2014 Share Posted October 26, 2014 Recently installed base , vector, three NA terrain areas and all was well. I then installed Europe open LC and suddenly my loading speed is a crawl, in fact the whole Egypt area just tries to load and locks up. All the other areas both global and addons are very slow, but eventually get there. Once loaded, the sim flies along at about 40 FPS with my Intel Haswell at 4.2 gig. Loading was also superfast prior to the Europe install. Any ideas on a cause of this? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I very recently upgraded from FS9 to FSX Steam edition and am considering purchasing the ORBX software as it looks soooo good in screenshots. At the moment I have only loaded the ORBX Demo's, the AU Mesh from ORBX and the OZx Australia scenery up to version 3.3. The load times without these sceneries selected in the settings menu is about 15 sec. With them selected it can take up to 3 minutes. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
