I up to not run ORBX any more since the mismatch elevation at KLAS is ridiculous...KLAS and KLAX are my favorite airports....or maybe I am missing something installing order? spud Posted October 21, 2014 Share Posted October 21, 2014 KLAS needs to be disabled in FTX VECTOR configuration tool to adjust the land surrounding KLAS. Have you ran the autoconfig routine in the VECTOR 1.15 control panel? The aiport is slightly lower than the surrounding ground if you have not ran the tool. Or you can just disable KLAS individually to save time as the autoconfig. routine does take some time. KSEA elevation problems have been discussed ad invinitum here in these forums, do a search and read up on the posts if you have not done so. Now as for the title of your post concerning Global 1.3. Global only replaces the FSX "Default" textures. It does not have anything at all to do with elevations at airports etc. That is one of the things VECTOR does so you need to use VECTOR to work on elevations of airports. My KLAS fits very nicely into the surrounding scenery with no elevation issues noted. Here's some screen shots of my KLAS in FSX. Holy Cheese Posted October 23, 2014 Share Posted October 23, 2014 Peter, I have the FSDT KLAS (in fact all their products as well as those from Flightbeam) installed and working without issues. originally I did have a problem with KLAS, but using the AEC tool in Vector solved the elevation issues for me. I think Spud is on the right track with his question about the Scenery Library order. All my 3rd Party (by that I mean non-ORBX) payware sceneries are sitting above all FTX entries and I don't see any issues. I'm also assuming that you know that AI traffic programmes like MyTraffic, Traffic 360 etc also install their own AFD files for many airports, and assume you have checked that there are no such files present on your system.
