NCA Installation Unhandled Exception Error - FSX Folder Location

Recommended Posts

I searched these forums but could not find this specific problem addressed elsewhere.

On my system FSX runs on a dedicated SSD "B" drive, not the default "C" drive. When installing NCA there is no option to "point" to or tell the installer where to find FSX, it just defaults to the C-drive. Because FSX is not on the C-drive, I get "Unhandled Exception" errors relating to pathways NCA is trying to find that aren't there, but are on the B-drive instead. How can I get NCA to install into the FSX folder on my B-drive?

Thanks for your great products and for your help in resolving these pesky little issues.

Hi there,

apologies, looks like your post slipped through the cracks.

Our installers rely on your Windows registry to determine the location of your FSX main folder. If there's a discrepancy that means your registry entries for FSX are incorrect and should be fixed with one of the available freeware tools; see https://www.fullterrain.com/freeware (at the bottom of the page) or http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library or http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/FSX-Registry-Utility-Download-74741.html

Cheers, Holger
