Holger Sandmann
Hi Joe, are you using Addon Converter X? We've seen cases where it has converted the ground texture blendmasks into a file format that makes them unusable by FSX and thus one ends up with straight edges; http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/57316-sak-texture-problem/?hl=pavd Cheers, Holger
Joe Bush
Hi Holger, Thanks for the speedy response. That is indeed the cause of the blocky textures. As often happens, an answer raises another question. What is it about the SAK blendmasks that is different than all the other blendmasks in the sim? I have all of the NA regions except California and don't see this anywhere else. Can I expect to see this in any other products that you are aware of? Say Tongass X? regards, Joe
Alex Goff
Hi Joe, Holger is out of town so he may not see this but the issue is not just limited to the SAK blendmask textures. All of our LC blendmask textures are stored in the same formats, we've seen the issue crop up in almost every region. As for why you're not seeing it in other regions, it's possible that the program has not yet converted the other files or they've been excluded somehow. Joe Bush
Going into the ACX configurator and removing the ticks from all FTX boxes returns SAK to as it should be, without having to disable ACX. Thanks for the quick support, and the wonderful product. You may now mark this topic as fixed. regards, Joe
