Jethro VH-JET
Same in FSX, I'm also noticing a lot of these light blue patches in the Monteray area from Bonny Doon to Watsonville, I checked GE and could not find any tailing ponds to match these transparent blue textures. Alex Goff
Those light blue fields are agricultural, they're part of the irrigated agriculture tile set. The blue color itself is from plastic tarps covering the ground or plants, you can see them around Monterey on Google Earth. The color varies from bright white to a darker blue. The broken pieces are just how FSX breaks down landclass tiles across steep slopes. When an LC tile hits a slope it will generally turn into some sort of scrubby vegetation or forest then eventually bare rock face. However if the slope does not hit the edges of the tile it will turn back into the normal LC texture which is what leaves the outlying blobs of blue. Jethro VH-JET
Thankyou Alex, Appreciate you taking the time to investigate and reporting your findings, the answer seems quite logical (plastic tarps over ground plants) or seedling crops, come to think of it they do something similar here in Aussie, with black plastic along the rows of strawberries. The texture must be custom/native to NCA as I have not noticed it in other Regions or Global. Once again thankyou.
