UKTopgun
Hi, total noob here, wonder if anyone can help. Yesterday I installed the FTX England, Wales, Stapleford and Old Warden sceneries. Today I got the Global base, Vector and LC Europe packs, and installed in that order. After the first section of the 4 for LC Europe (north) , FTX Central fails to load with the following message. Any ideas for a fix guys? I have FSX installed into its own S Drive (an SSD), which is where FSX is installed too. Unhandled exception has occurred in your application...... and it goes on to say 'Could not find file 'S:\MORE GAMES\terrain.cfg'. See the end of this message for details on invokingjust-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text **************System.IO.FileNotFoundException: Could not find file 'S:\MORE GAMES\terrain.cfg'.File name: 'S:\MORE GAMES\terrain.cfg' at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options) at System.IO.StreamReader..ctor(String path, Encoding encoding, Boolean detectEncodingFromByteOrderMarks, Int32 bufferSize) at System.IO.StreamReader..ctor(String path, Encoding encoding) at System.IO.File.ReadAllLines(String path, Encoding encoding) at FTXCentral.TerrainConfig.CFGFileToList(String ConfigFilename) at FTXCentral.TerrainConfig.LoadTerrainCFG() at FTXCentral.PublicDefs.UpdateTerrainCFG() at FTXCentral.PublicDefs.InitFTXEnv() at FTXCentral.FTXC.InitSystem() at FTXCentral.FTXC.InitAll() at FTXCentral.FTXC.Timer1_Tick(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies **************mscorlib Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5483 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework64/v2.0.50727/mscorlib.dll----------------------------------------FTXCentral Assembly Version: 1.0.4.3 Win32 Version: 1.0.4.3 CodeBase: file:///S:/MORE%20GAMES/ORBX/Scripts/FTXCentral/FTXCentral.exe----------------------------------------Microsoft.VisualBasic Assembly Version: 8.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 8.0.50727.5483 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/Microsoft.VisualBasic/8.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll----------------------------------------System Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll----------------------------------------System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5483 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll----------------------------------------System.Drawing Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5483 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll----------------------------------------System.Runtime.Remoting Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5483 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Runtime.Remoting/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Runtime.Remoting.dll----------------------------------------System.Configuration Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5483 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Configuration/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Configuration.dll----------------------------------------System.Xml Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5483 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll----------------------------------------ujtirjqf Assembly Version: 1.0.4.3 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll----------------------------------------System.Core Assembly Version: 3.5.0.0 Win32 Version: 3.5.30729.5420 built by: Win7SP1 CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Core/3.5.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Core.dll----------------------------------------jwfgjbai Assembly Version: 1.0.4.3 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5467 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging **************To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for thisapplication or computer (machine.config) must have thejitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. The application must also be compiled with debuggingenabled. Holger Sandmann
Hi there, welcome to Orbx! That error message indicates a very unusual FSX installation. According to the line "Could not find file 'S:\MORE GAMES\terrain.cfg'" you do not have a main FSX directory, instead the FSX.exe and terrain.cfg file would be located directy in S:\MORE GAMES\. Is that correct? If not then it's a mixup in your Windows registry. Our installers rely on your Windows registry to tell them the location of your FSX main folder. If there's a discrepancy that means your registry entries for FSX are incorrect and should be fixed first with one of the available freeware tools; see http://www.flight1.com/view.asp?page=library or http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/FSX-Registry-Utility-Download-74741.html Cheers, Holger
