JamesIceland
Hi everyone, I have taken a detour East from my tour route for one video. There has been potentially exciting news out of Iceland over the last couple of days relating to a dangerous volcano called Bárðarbunga. A large swarm of earthquakes has been recorded under the icecap which could point to an imminent eruption: http://bit.ly/1qgXZJJ I had never flown over this part of the country and wanted to see how the FTX textures, vector data and land class all looked in such a remote location - I'm amazed at the accuracy. So I have done another video conducting an imaginary survey of the volcano and icecap. I have also played about with some of the views to show more of the scenery rather than just the cockpit views - let me know what you think. Only just getting to grips with EZDok. Using Prepar3d 2.3 for the first time in a video. All other info is in the video description. Hopefully the sound quality is better with my new mic. Part 3 of the normal tour will be up late next week or weekend (unfortunately filmed before my new mic arrived). Worth waiting a couple of hours until the HD versions have encoded as at the time of upload they aren't showing... Hope you enjoy it! JamesIceland
Thanks Jeff, really appreciate that! I just enjoy flying around Iceland (and other places) and being able to share a bit about what I know about the place. Like a simulated tour guide... Jethro VH-JET
Hi James, Please keep them coming, having a tour based from the perspective of someone with good local knowledge adds hugely to the interest, also I'm getting an education in an area I know little about. It was your vids that prompted me to finally install Iceland & take the tour.
