VolksytheBug
Hi all, Sorry to start another topic, but my previous thread has died and the solution used by the gentleman there does not apply to me since I do not use My Traffic. I've since tried just about everything, including uninstalling and reinstalling the FTX Traffic module. Still, no dice: the ramps of my airports and the skies are still empty of ORBX AI, which is shame because from the screenshots I've seen, the AI looks great. Here's a link to the previous thread for reference: http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/82468-orbx-ai-traffic-not-appearing/#entry754723 As always, thank you so much, and happy flying! Edward Boyte
Sounds like you might have a FS9 AI traffic file in FSX\Scenery\World\Scenery. Do you have WOAI?
VolksytheBug
Yes sir, I still have WOAI, but is it possible to have a malignant FS9 file if I never had that sim installed on my computer?
Wolter van der Spoel
only one fs9 file that came with WOAI is enough to kill all AI in fsX
VolksytheBug
Ah, now I see! What's the name of this evil file?
Graham Eccleston
Ah, now I see! What's the name of this evil file? It's not one file, it is all the FS9 traffic files. All WOAI traffic files are compiled for FS9. FS9 and FSX traffic files have a different structure and FSX cannot handle both at the same time. When a single FS9 traffic file is detected, FSX suppresses all the FSX ones and recognises only the FS9 ones. You can still have all if you wish, you just need to recompile the FS9 traffic files to FSX ones. Don Grovestine's AI Flight Planner has a facility to do that for you.
