aero_edge
At both Vernonia (05S) & Bero Field (30OR), when I have the realism settings set to detect crashes, my plane crashes as soon as the FSX is loaded up. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem. Do I have to have my realism settings set to not detect crashes when flying out of these airports? Thanks! Wolter van der Spoel
Hi there, for what it's worth The so called "crash detection" within fsX is a true and utter PITA, as it already starts to crash when getting in the vicinity of something, just disable it and enjoy your flights
aero_edge
I suspected as much. It would be nice to leave crash detection on just to see if I'm stressing the airplane too much, but I guess I can live without that feature in order to get in & out of the airports I like to fly to! Thanks for the quick reply btw!
Wolter van der Spoel
no worries, Happy Flights
Ron Attwood
If I can add two cents worth here. As nice as a 'proper' crash detection system would be, if you're trying for any believable level of realism you KNOW when you've screwed it up! Those heavy landings we all make from time to time would result in some very expensive repairs to undercarriages IRL, just for starters.
aero_edge
I believe I have discovered the 'fix' for the realism settings problem... I had not updated my scenery library from ORBX, that did the trick! Now all is well!
