lennex
Hello, I purchased FTX Global Base Pack today and the install seems to fail after it says "checking file conditions". I have downloaded twice from separate servers and I have gone through the suggestions in the FAQ. Watching the task manager, I see the "FTX Global Base Pack Setup" crashes/dissapears after it gets to this stage. I am left with the Global Wrapper open and the message, "Note: Ensure that the product installer has completed before clicking Finish to close this wizard." There is no progress bar nor does anything seem to be happening and after trying a few times and letting it sit there for half an hour I find myself asking for your help. Thanks in advance! -Eric
Nick Cooper
Welcome. Often this error can be the result of inadequate free space on either the C: drive or the destination drive if it is not the same.
lennex
Thank you for your response, Nick. I thought of this as well, I have 12 gigs free for the install, which I thought would be sufficient. I am thinking this may be the right track, however...
Nick Cooper
Yes, I doubt that 12 gb is enough, can you try to free up some more? I believe 15 gb is a bare minimum.
lennex
Yes, I am freeing up 10 additional gigs now and will try again, I will have well over 15 gigs free during this next attempt. I'll report back soon.
lennex
That worked, Nick. After the un-wrapping, I had 16 gb free with the install files unzipped to a folder on the desktop. It worked straight away. Thanks for your help! Best Regards, Eric
