777ydowefly Posted June 5, 2014 Share Posted June 5, 2014 just wondering if the difference in colors below are due to the detailed Orbx LC being as yet unavailable for this area, or that this area's "appearance" was just interpreted differently by the devs of either product? Below is a pic of FTXGlobal Base as the default textures (mainly on the left) with a custom addon (Mega City Las Vegas) showing on the right with more "desert" appearance of its ground textures. If you're flying real-time the local landclass ground textures probably still use the spring variants, which tend to be greener. I doubt that Mega City Las Vegas comes with different seasons. Most third-party photoreal add-ons are made to best fit the default landclass textures, which use a much brighter, "washed-out" palette than our texture sets.
