Rob Greaves
Just wondering why road traffic in my FSX YWOL (Wollongong) Orbx scenery goes across fields, and not on the actual roads? I have the latest AUSP4.003 Service Pack, and the latest 140405 Orbx libraries installed, and also have the Holgermesh AU installed. Is there a reason the traffic is not on the road? It doesn't overly bother me too much, but looks a bit silly. Thanks - Rob
Ed Correia
Hi Rob, Whereabouts are you seeing these cars? As far as I can remember the roads & traffic were OK with the original release.
Rob Greaves
Hi Ed, the roads to the N of Runway 16 threshold, the road that runs perpendicular and South of 34 threshold, and the road that runs pretty much parallel to 34/16 to the West. In fact, on the last mentioned road parallel to the runway, the cars start off well inside a field, then slowly converge with the road for a moment, then head off into fields again. I will try and get a screenshot sometime. But what would cause this? Is there something I should be looking at? Removing Holgermesh maybe? Ed Correia
Can you check the dates of these files in the ORBX\FTX_AU\FTXAU05_ROADS\scenery folder please. cvx_Orbx_Australia_Traffic_SI56_SYD_minor.BGL should be 19/11/2011 cvx_Orbx_Australia_Traffic_SI56_SYD_major.BGL should be 21/11/2011
Rob Greaves
Hi Ed, Both those files are dated 02/02/2011 on my system. I installed YWOL from a purchased DVD. FTX Central reporting tool says: YWOL v1.0 Dec 2011 Libraries 140405 5 April 2014 AU Blue SP3 August 2009 It seems those two files are older than the actual YWOL publish date? Should I simply re-install the YWOL DVD? Any thoughts? Thanks - Rob
Ed Correia
Hi Rob, Yes, re-install of YWOL will give you back those newer files.

Rob Greaves
Fixed... cars travelling on the roads once again. A reinstall fixed it. Thanks - Rob
Ed Correia
Good to hear Rob. By the way, I've noticed that you still only have AU Blue SP3 August 2009 in your report. Have you seen this offer http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/71930-ftx-au-sp4-now-available-for-p3d-version-2/#entry659785 ?
